I could start way back in 1985 when I was born and bore you with my life story, but I can already tell that you don’t really care about that and are starting to find the exit from this site… So will scroll forward to my current life.
Hi, I’m Susan and I am wife to Joel, and mother to 2 gorgeous children, Cooper and Charlotte. Apart from being a mother and doing photography, my other ‘day job’ is as a Disability Support Worker here in Brisbane, which I love and has helped my life feel fulfilled.
Susan Stafford Photography came about shortly after my son was born, back in 2016. He was my original muse; a good one too when he was a chunky blob newborn baby and would sleep or lie still for me to take pictures. Since then, I have photographed friends and family to get practice in and build my portfolio, and have come a long way in the past 5+ years with many happy and satisfied paying clients, creative shoots, and collaborations with social media influencers.
I pride myself with my work, both at home and behind a camera. My style of photography is what you could call “Family Lifestyle” - by this I describe my style as being natural, capturing raw and beautiful moments between loved ones; telling their Family Love Story. Showcasing everyones personality is what I strive for! I love Golden Hour, so choose to shoot at this time either at sunrise or sunset - this gives your images those beautiful warm & golden tones!
Creating beautiful, intimate and real images for families is an honour. I build a relationship with you to help you feel at ease - because we all know that it can be a tad daunting standing in front of a camera! Being comfortable and relaxed is how the magic starts, and you do the rest (with a little prompt from me here and there!).
